At year-end 2022, the number of registered unemployed people decreased by 2.5 percent, and the overall unemployment rate — by 0.5 percent. The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The number of employed people reached 2,537.9 million, and the number of unemployed — 142,600.
The ministry noted that the decline was made possible thanks to active measures to promote employment, such as training in the professions most in demand on the labor market, vocational guidance for young people, assistance in finding employment and payment of 100,000 soms to open a small business.
«As a result, the level of official unemployment in the republic reached 2.9 percent of the economically active population,» the Ministry of Labor reported.
