Pork in sausage: Chamber of Commerce asks Russian colleagues to assess situation

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan expresses concern about the situation around Toiboss company — the manufacturer of meat products.

Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor informed that it found soy and pig DNA not declared in the composition of the sausage imported from Kyrgyzstan. The organization drew the attention of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic to insufficient veterinary supervision when exporting livestock products.

Toiboss is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and has been operating on the market for a long time. The domestic manufacturer has proven itself to be conscientious and assures that its products are Halal and are constantly tested. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has sent an official letter to its Russian colleagues — to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation with a request to consider this issue, give their assessment of the current situation and do everything possible to find out the truth," the Chamber said.

It is noted that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry advocates for Kyrgyz manufacturers, but at the same time calls on all companies to comply with all norms and standards adopted in the production of a particular product.

Rosselkhoznadzor reported that «the service specialists found undeclared pork and soybeans in the Halal sausage imported from Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the manufacturer, a company from Chui region of Kyrgyzstan, positions itself as an enterprise that produces meat products with strict adherence to technological recipes according to the Halal standard.

Toiboss company itself denies all accusations and states that «unfortunately, there are examples of the biased attitude of Rosselkhoznadzor towards Kazakhstan and Armenia, they are blacklisted as meat suppliers.»
