Rosselkhoznadzor finds pork in halal products from Kyrgyzstan

Rosselkhoznadzor found pig DNA in a halal sausage imported to Russia by a company from Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the organization reports.

«Specialists of the service found undeclared pork and soybeans in the halal sausage imported from Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the manufacturer, a company from Chui region of Kyrgyzstan, positions itself as an enterprise that produces meat products with strict adherence to technological recipes according to the Halal standard.

Earlier it was reported that Rosselkhoznadzor revealed a scheme of illegal transit of pork fat under the guise of Paraguayan products through Russia to the address of a recipient from Bishkek.

«Thus, goods of unknown origin and safety level were transported through the territory of the EAEU countries,» the organization stressed.

According to it, all of the aforementioned facts testify to the insufficient approach of the veterinary service of Kyrgyzstan to the inclusion of their enterprises in the register of suppliers of the EAEU, conducting a state control over their shipments of products to Russia and goods coming to the republic from third countries in transit through the customs space of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Rosselkhoznadzor considers the approach of the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic to the implementation of veterinary supervision in the republic when exporting livestock products to Russia as insufficient in general. Thus, the results of an inspection of Kyrgyz fish factories conducted in March 2023 proved the validity of the position of Rosselkhoznadzor, confirming the existence of gross systemic violations by the veterinary service of the republic when certifying export consignments to Russia.
