19.9 million soms to be allocated for repair of irrigation system in Ak-Suu

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Askarbek Dzhanybekov, inspected the repair of canals in Ak-Suu district of Issyk-Kul region and their readiness for spring field work. Press service of the ministry reported.

«At least 26.8 million soms were allocated last year from the republican budget to Ak-Suu district under the «Major repairs» article. Repair, concreting and mechanical cleaning of 54.6 kilometers of utility canals, 16 hydraulic structures, a pumping station were carried out, including the repair of two pumping units, as well as mechanical cleaning of the collector and drainage network with a length of 7.15 kilometers. The official also got acquainted with the work of the daily regulation pond in Karakol village, Pobeda, Podgorny and Kunduy canals», the statement says.

It is noted that it is planned to allocate 19.9 million soms from the republican budget for the repair and restoration of facilities under the jurisdiction of the district water management department this year. Six water metering units, a pumping station and two pumping units will be additionally repaired. Mechanical cleaning of 2.9 kilometers of the collector and drainage network is also planned.
