Two days after a high-profile incident, the deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Zhanybek Abirov, commented on the mass brawl with his participation, which took place near Golden Dragon restaurant in Bishkek. He posted on Facebook.
The deputy admitted that he was captured on the footage, and noted that he was ready to bear responsibility within the framework of the law.
«You all witnessed an incident related to me. Law enforcement agencies are working today, I am ready to cooperate with them and provide the necessary information. I want to note that I am ready to bear responsibility within the framework of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, I understand the seriousness of the situation,» Zhanybek Abirov wrote.
He stressed that, as a deputy, no matter what circumstances occurred, he should not have succumbed to emotions.
«Yes, I made a mistake, I have a lot of fault, and I am ready to make every effort to correct the situation. I sincerely apologize to Argen, his family and friends, and I am ready to provide all the necessary support. I also apologize to the people of Kyrgyzstan and all voters. Let the hearts of mothers do not hurt! I’m very sorry about what happened. Please forgive me,» the MP wrote.
The mass brawl occurred in Bishkek. The video was posted on social media. The footage shows several people exiting the cafe. Then a fight broke out between them and other men joined it. One of the fighters is MP Zhanybek Abirov. The fight and beating of the guard was reported to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. He instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
