Two criminal cases have been opened in Tatarstan on fights between local residents and foreigners, the republic’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
«Based on materials previously collected during media monitoring regarding two fights in Nizhnekamsk, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhnekamsk district identified the participants of the conflict from among Nizhnekamsk residents and foreign citizens working in the city... Two criminal cases have been opened.
During the operational and investigative activities, a group of thirteen Nizhnekamsk attackers was identified. Measures on their detention are being taken.
As a result of a raid on the place of residence of foreigners, 33 migrants with various violations of migration legislation were delivered to the police department. It was established that 11 of them took part in a group fight near one of the city’s cafes,» the statement says.
The suspects were placed in a temporary detention facility.
The materials on all of the detainees were sent to the court for making a decision on sentencing them to forced expulsion from the Russian Federation.
According to local media, migrants from Kyrgyzstan also took part in the mass brawl.
