President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, as part of his working trip to Naryn region, got acquainted with reconstruction of Naryn airport. Press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov inspected the construction of a new terminal building, which is at the completion stage.
According to Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Manas International Airport OJSC, the buildings and facilities of the airport were put into operation in 1964, artificial runway, taxiways and apron — in 1974.
In the spring, it is planned to begin repair and restoration of the asphalt concrete pavement, runway, taxiway and parking areas of the airport airfield.
Manasbek Samidinov also provided information to the President about Kazarman airport in Jalal-Abad region. He noted that repair and restoration of the asphalt concrete pavement, runway, taxiway and airfield parking lots, which began in 2022, is underway at the specified airport.
The completion date for the project is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023. Kazarman airport was built in the early 1980s, the capacity of the terminal is 40-50 passengers per hour. The last repair of the terminal building was carried out in 2018.
After listening to the information, Sadyr Japarov noted the importance of the work of airports in improving the living conditions of the population in the regions. He drew attention to the quality of construction work and instructed to carry it out at the proper level and keep up with the schedules.
