Ex-ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia Azimbek Beknazarov was remanded in custody in Bishkek. His lawyer Erkin Bulekbaev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, this decision was made by the Bishkek City Court.
The lawyer confirmed that the judges tried to take a non-disclosure agreement from him. However, Erkin Bulekbaev did not sign the document.
The Committee for protection of Kempir-Abad reservoir was created on October 22. It includes activists, politicians and MPs.
