India ready to consider allocation of quotas for free treatment of Kyrgyzstanis

Kyrgyzstan asks India to allocate a quota for free treatment of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. Press center of the Ministry of Health reported.

According to it, issues of cooperation were discussed during a meeting of the Minister of Health Gulnara Baatyrova with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Kyrgyzstan Arun Kumar Chatterjee.

«The main issue of the meeting was further effective functioning of the Kyrgyz-India Mountain Biomedical Research Center at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy, the launch of the third phase of a joint research program to improve public health.

In addition, the Minister asked the Ambassador to consider the possibility of providing quotas for citizens of Kyrgyzstan to receive high-tech medical treatment in Indian clinics,» the Ministry of Health noted.

The Ambassador replied that India was ready to consider the issue of allocation of quotas.
