Russia to build 9 schools in Kyrgyzstan and to appoint principals

Russia will build nine schools in Kyrgyzstan and will appoint principals from among the citizens of the Russian Federation after agreement with the Kyrgyz side. The Minister of Education Ulanbek Mambetakunov said at the parliamentary session on social policy.

The deputies discuss a draft agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian government on the conditions for the construction, creation and operation in the Kyrgyz Republic of joint educational organizations providing education in Russian.

According to Ulanbek Mambetakunov, schools will be built:

  • In Ak-Ordo residential area in Bishkek;
  • In South-East microdistrict in Osh,
  • In Novopavlovka village, Ak-Ordo newly built quarter in Chui region;
  • In Karakol city, Issyk-Kul region;
  • On the territory of Jalal-Abad State University;
  • In Progress village, Uzgen district, Osh region;
  • At Aigul-Tash site in Batken region;
  • In Bala-Saruu village, Manas district, Talas region;
  • In the area of the park named after Zhaparaliev in Naryn city.

The head of the Ministry of Education stressed that the average cost of construction of each school is 450 million rubles, the term of their commissioning is three years.
