Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, told about the benefits of the mining sector. He shared the data at a meeting with the heads of regional state administrations and local government bodies.
According to him, 48.3 billion soms were received from the mining sector for two years. This is almost 2.5 times more than in previous years. In 2019, the figure was 13 billion soms.
«In 2021, we received 10 tons of gold from Kumtor, this figure was 17.2 tons in 2022. According to the National Bank, we now have more than 40 tons of pure gold. From now on, large deposits will be developed by our state, and their income will be spent on the needs of the people, on the implementation of strategic projects. We have proven that dreams can come true,» he said.
