The Ministries of Economy, Agriculture and the Antimonopoly Regulation Service signed an agreement with the Association of Millers of the country. Press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.
The agreement was signed in order to ensure the food security of Kyrgyzstan and the uninterrupted provision of the country’s population with high-quality wheat flour and livestock feed at affordable prices as part of the Cabinet’s resolution on the provision of temporary benefits for flour mills.
Earlier it was reported that from January 1, 2023, flour and feed will rise in price by 15 percent. Such a forecast was given by the Association of Millers of the country.
It was noted that domestic millers would have to increase the cost of their products. This is due to the fact that the period of benefits granted for the import and processing of grain for flour mills ends on December 31, 2022.
