As part of the implementation of the project «Electronic map of location of business entities», the second stage was launched — Taxpayer’s Passport (QR-code) project. The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
«Taxpayer’s Passport» is an information card of a business entity, which is not a tax secret and is contained in a QR code. It is placed by employees of the territorial tax authorities at each trading facility where economic activity is carried out, in a place accessible to the public, for example, at the entrance, shop window or cash desk.
By scanning the QR code in the Taxpayer’s Passport, using a smartphone, you can get the following information:
- Details of the taxpayer (name or full name);
- TIN and the presence of a cash register;
- Contact details of the responsible tax inspector.
If disputes between an entrepreneur and a consumer arise, they can directly contact the responsible tax inspector to resolve issues that are within his or her competence.
Taxpayer’s Passport will strengthen control over the activities of entrepreneurs by the population and thus protect the rights of consumers. It should be noted that the introduction of the Taxpayer Passport as a component of the SMART Salym tax procedures digitalization project makes it possible to improve tax administration, improve analytical work, and also effectively detect unscrupulous business entities engaged in economic activities without tax registration and tax payment," the State Tax Service believes.
