Mass arrests: Flash mob in support of detainees launched on social media

A flash mob in support of politicians and activists detained in the case on attempt to seize power by force was launched on social media. Its participants share photos of the arrested with hashtags: #ui_каmagy! #house_ arrest!

Relatives of the detainees held a rally in Bishkek. About 50 people gathered near the Panfilov Park. They asked to change the measure of restraint for those arrested to not related to detention. Four participants of the rally were invited to the Government House to meet with members of the Presidential Administration. They were received at the department of interaction with courts and prosecution authorities.

At least 17 defendants in the criminal case on attempt to seize power by force, held in the Bishkek remand center 1, went on a hunger strike. The condition of ex-deputy of the Parliament Orozaiym Narmatova and activist Perizat Suranova has deteriorated sharply.

The arrested placed all responsibility for the consequences of the hunger strike personally on the president of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchibek Tashiev, Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov, Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev and the investigators, prosecutors and judges.
