President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the President of the International Boxing Association Umar Kremlev. Press service of the head of state reported.
The parties exchanged views on issues of cooperation within the framework of the development of boxing in Kyrgyzstan and holding international events in the country.
Sadyr Japarov, having greeted the President of the International Boxing Association, expressed confidence that his visit would give a new impetus to the development of this sport in Kyrgyzstan.
He noted that special attention has been paid in Kyrgyzstan to the development of physical culture and sports, including boxing, at the state level.
Sadyr Japarov drew attention to a good boxing school in the country, which is evidenced by the medals of the highest standard at major international competitions.
In turn, the President of the Association expressed interest in the development of this sport in Kyrgyzstan.
He noted the high potential of domestic athletes who can successfully compete in the international arena, as well as represent the country as referees at foreign tournaments.
Umar Kremlev stressed that the International Association was considering the possibility of holding an international tournament in Kyrgyzstan and training camps for foreign athletes, as well as cooperation in the construction of a Boxing Academy in the republic.
