Deputy Tazabek Ikramov proposed issuing so-called «golden passports» to foreign investors in Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, such passports should be issued to those who have built large plants and factories.
«If these people open large plants and factories, provide local residents with jobs, invest millions in business, they can be given the opportunity to obtain a passport,» Tazabek Ikramov said.
Deputy Minister of Digital Development Aidarbek Mambetkadyrov replied that a similar bill is currently being developed.
«There is the concept of a «golden passport». If a person invests approximately 10 million, he or she is given the opportunity to obtain citizenship through a facilitated scheme. A similar bill is being developed now,» Aidarbek Mambetkadyrov said.
