Director of the National Investment Agency, Talantbek Imanov, met with the economic delegation of Qatar led by the General Director of Qatar Mining Company, Khalid Ahmed Al Obaidly. The press service of the National Investment Agency reported.
Deputy Ministers of Agriculture, Energy, Natural Resources, heads of the Public-Private Partnership Center and Kyrgyz Temir Zholu state company participated in the negotiations. Representatives of Qatar Mining Company, Ooredoo QSC, Hassad Food, Nebras Power and Qatar Hospitality, formerly known as Qatar National Hotels Company, attended the meeting.
The Qatari side has been offered investment projects in key sectors — agriculture, mining, hydropower, tourism, and transport logistics.
Investors are invited to invest in the production of grain, meat and dairy products, and the cultivation of vegetables and fruits. Kyrgyzstan has deposits of gold, copper, uranium, rare metals and other minerals that can be mined and used to produce various products.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to actively cooperate on a regular basis in the implementation of investment projects aimed at stimulating sustainable economic growth.
