Employers will pay insurance premiums for foreign workers on a par with citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from November 2022. The Tax Service reminds.
The rates of insurance premiums for foreign citizens were changed by law No. 132 of November 15, 2021. According to the document, the accrual and payment of insurance premiums in favor of foreign employees will be in the amount of 27.25 percent. Previously, employers paid 3 percent to the pension fund for foreign citizens temporarily staying and working in Kyrgyzstan.
«Foreigners and stateless persons who receive income under civil law agreements (contracts), as well as those engaged in individual entrepreneurial activities, including in the markets, calculate and pay insurance premiums independently. They pay at the rates of insurance premiums established by the legislation on state social insurance for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, unless otherwise is provided by international treaties,» the statement says.
