Activity of a terrorist cell has been suppressed in Kyrgyzstan. The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, facts of transfer of money to members of the banned international terrorist organizations Islamic State and Jihad Group (Islamic Jihad Union), as well as to organizers of the terrorist attack on the territory of the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, which occurred in August 2016, were registered.
Information has been received confirming transfer of passports of citizens of Kyrgyzstan (stolen / lost) to Turkey for the manufacture of fake documents for militants of terrorist organizations.
An active member of the terrorist cell, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was detained and placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security on November 10.
Investigative and operational measures are being taken to identify and detain other persons involved in terrorist activities. An investigation is underway.
Recall, explosion occurred in the building of the Chinese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic on August 30, 2016. According to preliminary data, the explosive device was in the passenger compartment of a car that rammed through the gates of the diplomatic mission. Three were injured. One man died, who, according to preliminary data, was in the exploded car.
