«The Kyrgyz side adheres to the unchanging position on the need to resolve disputes exclusively by peaceful means, political and diplomatic methods,» President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).
According to him, in the last two or three years, various challenges of international importance have appeared in the world. Along with the current unstable situation in the world, issues of regional security are coming to the fore. Undoubtedly, such an alarming situation requires close cooperation, mutual respect and consolidation of common efforts from the member countries.
«We note with satisfaction the high dynamics of our contacts at the highest level between the fraternal Turkic states. Today we intend to consider important issues together and jointly find the best solutions inherent in our Turkic wisdom and determination. The five-year strategy of the Organization of Turkic States for 2022-2026 agreed upon by the participating countries will be adopted. It was developed on the basis of Vision of the Turkic World — 2040, adopted last year. The document will become a reference book for future cooperation and relations between the Turkic countries in the political, trade, economic, investment, transport and logistics, cultural, humanitarian and many other areas,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He also noted that the economies of the Turkic countries have not yet fully recovered from the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic. But they are already experiencing new shocks due to international tensions. In the current crisis, countries need to work even more closely to expand trade relations within the organization and find new supply chains.
«I would like to note that the trade between Kyrgyzstan and the OTS countries in 2021 increased by 40 percent. To increase exports and imports, it is necessary to optimize the structure of trade, create joint export-oriented production, and develop investment ties,» Sadyr Japarov added.
