Ulan Niyazbekov: Number of crimes has decreased in Kyrgyzstan

The number of crimes has decreased in Kyrgyzstan. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Ulan Niyazbekov, announced at a meeting.

«The number of general crimes decreased by 48 percent for nine months, grave and especially grave crimes — by 12 percent, fraud facts — by 23 percent, crimes committed in public places — by 18 percent,» he said.

According to the minister, the number of traffic accidents in the republic decreased by 8 percent, injuries — by 5 percent, deaths on roads — by 21 percent.

«As a result of operational activities, including the propaganda work of the internal affairs bodies, the number of domestic violence cases has decreased by 13 percent, and the number of victims has decreased by 15 percent,» he said.

Ulan Niyazbekov also stressed that the tourist-environmental police have solved more than 150 crimes related to environmental violations and environmental damage since the beginning of the year.
