President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov, who arrived in the country on an official visit.
The parties exchanged views on further development of comprehensive Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation, implementation of joint projects in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas of mutual interest.
Sadyr Japarov, noting that Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations are dynamically developing in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership, expressed the intention of the Kyrgyz side to further expand and deepen cooperation between the two countries based on common historical heritage, culture, linguistic, spiritual traditions and values.
Vladimir Norov informed that political consultations on all issues of bilateral cooperation were held at the level of Foreign Ministers of the two countries. In particular, the forthcoming state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan, its organizational and content parts and other issues were discussed.
The parties noted at the meeting that the agreement on the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan meets the interests of both countries.
