The capital’s City Hall has submitted a draft budget for 2023 to the Bishkek City Council. The document has been posted for public discussion on the Council’s website.
As background statement says, the forecast for the local budget of Bishkek is based on the expected macroeconomic indicators of the development of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2023-2025.
The revenue part is predicted in the amount of 15,986,385.6 billion soms. Including targeted transfers from the republican budget will amount to 2,921,002.8 billion soms.
«The growth rate compared to the approved plan for 2022 is 106.4 percent, or 963,868.4 million soms more,» the statement says.
Since the budget of the capital is consolidated, expenses are projected at the level of income.
It should be noted that the budget of Bishkek for the current year was approved in the amount of 15,022,517.2 billion soms. However, the City Hall of the capital proposed to reduce it by almost half a billion.
