Mass arrests: Relatives of activists demand to stop persecution

Relatives of arrested activists and politicians demand to stop political persecution. They announced this at a press conference at 24.kg news agency.

Civic activist, daughter of the human rights activist Rita Karasartova, Kasiyet Mamyrbai, noted that the Kyrgyz are freedom-loving people.

«There is a strong pressure on freedom of speech. Political repressions are carried out, the media are closed. We are freedom-loving people. Despite the threats, we will continue to protect Kempir-Abad reservoir and demand to leave the land on the balance sheet of the Kyrgyz Republic. The authorities must show protocols No. 36, 39, 42. If they had been shown, all this would not have happened. We also demand to stop political persecution and reach a dialogue,» Kasiyet Mamyrbai said.
