The first sports hall for the national team of Kyrgyzstan in women’s wrestling was opened in Bishkek. Social media users shared a video from the event.
President Sadyr Japarov attended the ceremony. He recalled that he laid a capsule at the construction site of the sports hall for the women’s national team on April 29, 2022 on the territory of Zhashtyk sports complex.
«The sports hall was built for five months. We had such women-heroes as Kyz Saikal, Zhanyl Myrza in our history. They fought with swords and shot from bows. Our modern baatyr-girls raise our flag abroad through wrestling. It was wrong that such girls, who glorify our republic, were without a hall. The hall was built on my initiative,» the head of state said.
Four-time Asian champion, two-time world champion, World Cup winner, Olympic silver medalist in Tokyo Aisuluu Tynybekova thanked Sadyr Japarov for the new sports hall. «This is a historic day for women’s wrestling in Kyrgyzstan. How many years I have been training in the national team, but we did not have our own hall. I am extremely happy about this event,» she said.
