An increase in the incidence of viral hepatitis was registered in Kyrgyzstan. The review of infectious and parasitic diseases incidence of the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance for January-September says.
Compared to the same period in 2021, the incidence of chronic viral hepatitis increased by 39.4 percent.
«At least 2,444 cases were registered (in 2021 — 1,729). High rates are observed in Batken, Naryn, Chui regions and Bishkek,» the review says.
The incidence of acute viral hepatitis increased by 24 percent. At least 1,501 cases were registered (in 2021 — 1,196). «Viral hepatitis A accounts for 92.5 percent in the structure of viral hepatitis (1,388 cases),» the report says.
