Sadyr Japarov expresses condolences to Vladimir Putin over tragedy in Izhevsk

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov expressed condolences to the Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with casualties as a result of the shooting at a school in Izhevsk city. Spokesman for the President Erbol Sultanbaev reported.

«I received the tragic news of human casualties as a result of the shooting at school No. 88 in the city of Izhevsk, Udmurt Republic, with great regret and a sense of empathy. On behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and on my own behalf, I express my deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to all those affected by this tragedy. I share the pain and bitterness of an irreparable loss,» the head of state said in a telegram.

On Monday morning, 34-year-old Artem Kazantsev opened fire at school No. 88 in Izhevsk on Pushkinskaya Street. He entered the school after killing a security guard. Kazantsev later committed suicide.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons, including a minor or another person, who is obviously in a helpless state, committed in a generally dangerous way), Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal trafficking in weapons).

The number of victims of the shooting at the school in Izhevsk has reached 15 people, including 11 children. The authorities of Udmurtia have declared three days of mourning for the victims of the shooting.
