Tourism Development Support Fund plans to launch two projects

The Tourism Development Support Fund signed an agreement on designing of an international sports complex of the Olympic level in Issyk-Kul region and a recreation area in Oruu-Sai gorge. Press service of the fund reported.

It is noted that an Austrian Masterconcept company, specializing in tourism projects, will construct the facilities.

According to the press service, it is planned to build a recreation area 30 kilometers from Bishkek. It will be possible to relax there all year round, enjoy nature, go hiking to picturesque places. Trekking and horse riding tours, bike rides will be provided. A 15-kilometer cable way, more than 50 kilometers of ski slopes and five hotels will be built in Oruu-Sai. The recreation area will be able to receive up to 10,000 guests daily.

The second project provides for the construction of an international modern sports complex in Tamga village on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul lake. It will create conditions for training in more than 30 sports, including rowing and swimming, athletics and weightlifting, and various martial arts. Athletes will also be able to undergo rehabilitation in the complex.

«Implementation of the projects will require serious financial investments. They are supposed to be covered by foreign investment,» the statement says.
