Ex-Ambassador to Malaysia Azimbek Beknazarov disagrees with dismissal

Ex-Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia, Azimbek Beknazarov, does not agree with his dismissal. He announced it at a press conference.

«I learned from the media that by presidential decree I was relieved of my post for not coping with the assigned duties. I demanded from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to name the reason why they removed me, they gave me an answer only in August. However, there is no motivation part. I have not a single reprimand, not a single admonishment or warning,» Azimbek Beknazarov said.

He believes that he worked quite effectively. In particular, he tried to bring investors into the country, and wrote to the Prime Minister about this more than once, spoke to the President. However, no response was received.

«I met with Sadyr Japarov, talked about Sary-Dzhaz deposit that Malaysian investors were ready to mine tin there. The President said that he supported this idea, but nothing was done in the end. In addition, I made repairs at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan, we bought furniture and carpets, I bought paintings. It was a shame to invite someone there,» the former diplomat added.

Azimbek Beknazarov was dismissed from the post of Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia. According to the press service of the head of state, the decision was made due to the fact that he could not cope with the set foreign policy tasks, including strengthening the political dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
