Members of a criminal gang were detained in Moscow. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
An active stable organized criminal group was reportedly operating on the territory of the city and Moscow Oblast, which was engaged in extortion and kidnapping of businessmen. Information was received that a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was kidnapped, forcibly put into a car.
«The man was kept in an apartment and extorted 1 million rubles. He was beaten and the criminals took 78,000 rubles from him. A criminal case has been initiated under the articles «Kidnapping», «Extortion» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspects — 28-year-old M.E. and 22-year-old Zh. uulu N. — were detained. One of them has the status of «a mafia enforcer at Savelovsky market,» the ministry said.
