Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Ukraine Idris Kadyrkulov met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennady Chizhikov. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The parties discussed the issue of stepping up work aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Idris Kadyrkulov told about preferences, benefits and opportunities for foreign investors in Kyrgyzstan.
Projects were announced in priority sectors of the economy that could be of interest to foreign and Ukrainian investors — construction of small and medium-sized hydropower plants, processing of agricultural products, the food and light industry, tourism and IT technologies.
«In order to achieve practical results, the Ukrainian side was invited to organize a joint business forum in Kyrgyzstan to get acquainted with tourism and investment opportunities. The Ukrainian side informed that the country’s business was interested in finding new favorable places and directions for its development,» the statement says.
