The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan made a statement after reports in some foreign media that the head of Al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was killed by an unmanned aerial vehicle, allegedly launched from the U.S. air base located at Manas International Airport in Kyrgyzstan.
The diplomatic mission called the information false.
According to the diplomatic mission, the Transit Center at Manas International Airport ceased operations on July 3, 2014.
U.S. or other foreign military personnel are not present on the territory of Manas International Airport.
