Previously, Daiyrbek Orunbekov headed the department of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu state enterprise.
Daiyrbek Orunbekov was the first journalist against whom the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit for protection of honor and dignity of Almazbek Atambayev, demanding 2 million soms from him. He lost in all instances. A criminal case was opened against him for non-compliance with a court decision. An amnesty was applied to the journalist in March 2017.
