Two people killed, 23 injured in traffic accident in Issyk-Kul region

Two people were killed and 23 were injured in a traffic accident that occurred today in Issyk-Kul region near Kyzyl-Oruk village. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.

«The road accident involving Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van and Mitsubishi car occurred at about 7.40 a.m. on the 24^th kilometer of Balykchy — Ananyevo — Karakol road. A total of 23 people were injured. Rescuers rendered first aid to the victims. Three people were transported to Balykchy hospital with various injuries, two people died at the scene. Bodies of the killed were handed over to the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,» the press service informed.

The police started an investigation.
