Excise tax rate on soft drinks was reduced tenfold — from 10 to 1 som per liter by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan dated July 29. The Tax Service reported.
The press service noted that the production and import to Kyrgyzstan of non-alcoholic beverages classified in the commodity item as TN VED 2202 are subject to excise tax.

This measure was proposed in order to support business, ensure the uninterrupted supply of goods and their availability to the population, prevent a sharp increase in prices and withdrawal of business entities into the shadows.
