Following the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, it was decided to keep the current tariffs for electricity and heat energy for 2022 for all categories of consumers. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.
At the same time, a new electricity tariff was approved in the amount of 5.4 soms for persons wishing to consume electricity without limit.
The initiator was the Ministry of Energy. The department told that they were receiving requests from citizens who were ready to pay for electricity at a higher rate. Therefore, a new category of consumers «Population using electricity without limiting consumption and power» is introduced for them.
For this category of citizens, the tariff for electricity will be applied as for energy-intensive consumers, that is, 252 tyiyns with coefficient of 2, or 504 tyiyns for 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity. The tariff applies to the entire volume of electricity consumed, the consumption norm of 700 kilowatt-hours will not be applied.
The new tariff will be applied on a voluntary basis under an agreement and provides an opportunity to use electricity without limit in consumption and power.
