Over 10,000 Kyrgyzstanis receive citizenship of Russia since beginning of 2022

At least 10,632 Kyrgyzstanis received citizenship of Russia for six months of 2022. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported.

According to it, 121,089 residents of the post-Soviet countries of Central Asia acquired Russian citizenship for six months.

Citizens of Tajikistan apply for citizenship of the Russian Federation most of all. During the first half of the year, 74,162 of them became Russians. Kazakhstanis take the second place — 21,647, Uzbeks — the third (13,000), Kyrgyzstanis — the fourth (10,632), and Turkmen — the fifth (1,549).

At least 109,593 Tajiks, 78,705 Uzbeks, 44,856 Kazakhstanis, 14,137 Kyrgyzstanis and 3,775 Turkmen have a residence permit in Russia.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, 516,729 Kyrgyzstanis are on the migration register.
