Slaughtering house polluting Issyk-Kul lake discovered in Jeti-Oguz

A slaughtering house that polluted the lake was detected in Jeti-Oguz district of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region reported.

During a raid, employees of the tourist-environmental police found a recently opened slaughtering house in Issyk-Kul village.

The check revealed that part of the waste — the blood and tendons of slaughtered animals — through a narrow pipe fell straight into the river, which directly flows into the lake.

The fact was registered.

According to the owner of the slaughtering house, the facility was opened about two months ago. He slaughters his own livestock with subsequent sale of meat. There is a pit for the waste. Due to the recent flooding, the waste got into the water.

The investigative service of the District Department of Internal Affairs conducts checks to give a legal assessment.
