The fight against corruption does not bring any results. Akylbek Japarov, chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, said at a meeting of Coordination Council on combating corruption.
He admitted that, despite the appropriate decisions made to combat corruption, there is no progress in solving the problem.
«Corruption continues to negatively affect the social and economic situation in the country. Within two years, 16,639 criminal cases were initiated against public service employees, 12,000 of them — on charges of abuse of office. It turns out that six or seven crimes are committed by civil servants every day,» Akylbek Japarov said.
Akylbek Japarov called smuggling another disease of the economy.
