Insulin delivered to Kyrgyzstan

Insulin has been delivered to Kyrgyzstan. Natalya Dobrynina, chief visiting endocrinologist of the Ministry of Health, confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.

According to her, insulin was received through the WHO.

«A small batch arrived. First and foremost, we will provide patients with type 1 diabetes with insulin. Today we will distribute it among the regions. We will start distributing insulin among the patients on Monday,» she said.

Natalya Dobrynina added that delivery of the purchased by the country medication is expected in the near future.

Problems with supply of insulin began in March. In May, patients began to complain about the lack of the medication. The Ministry of Health explained the delay in delivery by an increase in the delivery time by the plant itself and failure of a tender in February.
