Exhibition of artist from Kyrgyzstan Sabidzhan Babadzhanov to open in Almaty

The Abylkhan Kasteyev State Museum of Arts of Kazakhstan will host a personal exhibition «Road to the Clouds» of the Honored Worker of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Sabidzhan Babadzhanov. The museum reported on social media.

The exposition presents more than 60 paintings and graphic works of the author: landscapes depicting the beauty of the nature of Kyrgyzstan, plot, genre compositions, graphic sketches, portraits of prominent people of present time and past eras — Kazakh public figure, poet and writer Olzhas Suleimenov, composer and musicologist Abdulaziz Khashimov, Uighur poet Abdurakhim Nizari.

«The artist is a master of various techniques — these are watercolor sheets, works made with ink and pen, oil on canvas, cardboard and paper, mixed technique. There is a lot of light, warmth and air in the works. Some works are characterized by bright colors and temperamental painting, while others are restrained and monochrome. But in general, the sincerity and love of the artist for the work of his life, beauty and art is felt,» the message says.

Sabidzhan Babadzhanov is a graphic artist, designer, Honored Worker of Culture of Kyrgyzstan, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and the Kyrgyz Republic. Since 1964 he has been a participant of republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. The artist’s works are in many museums and private collections in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Turkey, Iran, Japan and other countries of the world.

The exhibition will open on July 2 and run until August 2.
