Another rally against opening of casinos is taking place near the Government House in Bishkek. The protesters themselves told 24.kg news agency.
They demand from the President of the country to veto the bill on gambling activities.
«The rallies will not stop. Their number will continue to grow until the bill is vetoed. We are against opening of gambling establishments,» one of the participants said.
Consideration of the draft law legalizing gambling activities caused a lot of controversy in society. Opponents of adoption of the document continue to hold a series of protests in Bishkek and regions.
Disputes also arose within the walls of the Parliament. Parliament passed the bill on gambling activity on the fifth attempt only. Deputies from Butun Kyrgyzstan faction refused to vote and actually blocked the voting procedure.
