Kyrgyzstan began exporting hard coal to the countries of the European Union — Latvia and Poland in 2022. Report of the National Statistical Committee «Foreign and mutual trade in goods of the Kyrgyz Republic» says.
According to data for January-April, Kyrgyzstan exported almost 3,000 tons of coal to Poland for $88,000, to Latvia — almost 2,000 tons for $143,000.
Kyrgyzstan did not supply coal to the EU countries last year.
Uzbekistan accounts for the main coal supplies. In January-April 2022, Kyrgyzstan exported more than 100,000 tons of coal worth $3.3 million to Uzbekistan.
In January-April 2021, Kyrgyzstan exported more than 2,000 tons of coal to Tajikistan in January-April 2021. No deliveries were made this year.
