The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the temporary zeroing of import customs duties on certain types of agricultural machinery. Press service of the EEC says.
The list of parts and components for which tariff benefits are applied has also been expanded. It is, in particular, about the zeroing of duties on beet haulm removing machines and beet harvesters for a period utill June 30, 2024 inclusive.
In addition, tariff incentives will be provided in the form of exemption from customs duties for refrigerated containers (until June 30, 2024), as well as parts and components for agricultural machinery (until the end of 2022 or June 30, 2023, depending on the products supplied).
«The measure is aimed at supporting agricultural producers of the Eurasian Economic Union. Under the conditions of external pressure, they faced the termination of supplies of imported equipment and components, as well as the interruption of supply chains. The decision will help to contain the rise in prices for manufactured products and will contribute to ensuring the food security of our countries,» Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC, said.
