It is planned to attract at least $400 million in investments to modernize Manas airport. Sanzhar Bolotov, head of the Public-Private Partnership Center, told journalists today.
According to him, international investors will be attracted to implement the project. They will not only invest in the project, but also bring their managerial experience to Kyrgyzstan. The main goal of the project is to create a major regional hub in Central Asia.
«The investor will carry out a complete reconstruction of the runway, will replace the old equipment with modern one that will solve the issues of takeoff and landing in foggy conditions. Modernization of the existing and construction of new passenger and cargo terminals will be carried out. It is planned to improve the internal infrastructure of the airport and increase its security,» Sanzhar Bolotov said.
