President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with athletes who participated in the XXIV Summer Deaflympics in Brazil. Press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov congratulated them on their successful performance at the competitions and noted the importance of the meeting, saying that it was a tribute to the hard work and fortitude of the Kyrgyz athletes.
The President stressed that every deed that glorifies Kyrgyzstan, when the flag of the state is raised, inspires development of the country and strengthens the confidence of every compatriot in the bright future of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Kyrgyz team won six medals — two silver and four bronze — at the XXIV Summer Deaflympics, which were held in Brazil on May 1-15.
Kyrgyz athletes achieved such a successful result in these competitions for the first time in the history of the country.
«It is a great feat to be able to work hard and achieve your goals, not to succumb to fate, but to do everything possible to contribute to the development of the country. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the athletes of the Kyrgyz national team, who have come through such a difficult path, who participated in an important competition in Brazil and once again raised the red flag in the international arena, as well as the coaches and doctors who cared for the athletes and supported them day and night,» Sadyr Japarov said.
President Sadyr Japarov presented state awards, money certificates and memorable gifts for achieving success at the XXIV Summer Deaflympics and a significant contribution to the training of athletes of the National Deaflympics team.
