Zharkynbek Kasymbekov will act as the head of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan. The President signed the relevant decree.
According to the document, during the absence of the Minister of Health, the duties of the Minister of Health are assigned to Zharkynbek Kasymbekov, Deputy Minister of Health of the country.
Zharkynbek Kasymbekov was the rector of the International Medical University, and from 2018 to 2020 — a lecturer at Manas Kyrgyz-Turkish State University. He was a defendant in a criminal case under the article «Abuse of official position» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The court found Zharkynbek Kasymbekov guilty. He was fined 300,000 soms in favor of the state.
Zharkynbek Kasymbekov was also dismissed from the post of Chief Physician of the Ambulance Station for absenteeism.
Earlier, all three deputy ministers of health — Uluk-Bek Bekturganov, Zhalalidin Rakhmatullaev and Zhaparkul Tashiev — were dismissed from their posts.
