A citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained in Kara-Suu town near the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border while trying to sell drugs. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The man was previously convicted and served a sentence in Uzbekistan for involvement in drug trafficking.
«A criminal case was initiated under the article «Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The seized drugs weighed 1,718 grams. Examination showed that it was hashish. Another suspect was also detained — 38-year-old Sherzodbek Toshboev. At least 75 grams of heroin were found during a search in his house. The suspects were placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security,» the ministry said.
