«In today’s situation, more than ever, we all need to quickly and effectively respond to external adverse factors,» President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at the 1st Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek.
According to him, the main focus of the forum’s discussions is to determine the horizons and prospects for the development of the Union, to find reserves for progressive sustainable development in the era of global transformations. At the same time, it is important for the results to be transformed into decisions that will become an impetus for practical work.
«This year, Kyrgyzstan has assumed its duties as a chairing party. I used my right and made an appeal to outline the priorities and the most important tasks of integration this year. I would like to note that these tasks are of particular relevance now, in the context of growing turbulence in world politics, selective sanctions against our partners in the union,» Sadyr Japarov said.
«I would like to remind you that we already have good experience in responding to challenges during a pandemic, especially in its acute phase. Development of the EAEU is not an isolated process of each state of the union separately, but a complementary process that depends on all participants of the association. External pressure on any of the member states cannot be considered in isolation from the entire union or from any country. In this regard, we need to work together and improve coordination of our actions,» he added.
