«Under the conditions of unilateral restrictions, the primary task is to solve the issues of effective development of the industrial and agro-industrial complexes, import substitution and establishment of cooperation within the EAEU,» the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said, opening the 1st Eurasian Economic Forum.
According to him, it will be interesting to discuss the development of transport infrastructure of the Eurasian integration within the framework of the forum. It will provide more opportunities for opening up a huge export potential and reaching new markets for products. In addition, there will be an open discussion to promote the idea of «Eurasianism» and its dissemination among the great masses of population.
«It is proposed to discuss other important topics, including the importance of creation of an integrated currency market of the EAEU to ensure the sovereignty and stabilization of the economy, and the formation of scientific and educational institutions to train qualified personnel for the EAEU common labor market, creation of favorable conditions for the development of electronic commerce in the union. Another important issue is to expand the geography of contacts with foreign countries, integration regional associations — from South America to Southeast Asia. Given the theme of our forum — «Eurasian Economic Integration in the Age of Global Change. New Opportunities of Investment Activity,» it is necessary to discuss priorities and directions of our integration, as well as to identify reserves for our economies for sustainable progress of the Union,» said Akylbek Japarov.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers pointed out that advance of the Eurasian integration project to a brand new level can create an example, which will attract the other interested countries like a magnet. He is sure that the progressive and sustainable development of the EAEU will make a significant contribution to the stability of the entire world economy.
«The Union opens up broader prospects for the economic development of its member states, creates additional competitive advantages in the development and strengthening of trade and economic cooperation. I am sure that the scientific, technical, industrial base, highly educated and qualified human resources are enough to make the members of this union self-sufficient. With expansion the EAEU is capable of transforming itself into a major player in the world economy and help eliminate those distortions and imbalances that have developed over the past decades in global economic relations,» he concluded.
